blog

[Note: these positions are no longer open, as of 10/16/19.]

We’re excited to announce that we have two job openings for Senior Program Managers on the Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions team. These are full time positions, located in Washington, DC. Both of these positions are critical team members who will help to lead our Opportunity Youth Forum (OYF) work. Applications are due 10/1/19.

We are a team that works towards a future where communities create their own vibrant and lasting solutions to the social and economic problems that they face. We believe that if communities have more power to lead change, we will create a more just and equitable society. We promote collaborative, community-based efforts that build the power and influence of those with the least access to opportunity. If our values match with yours, we hope you’ll consider applying.

Senior Program Manager – Youth Employment

The SPM (Youth Employment) will lead specific bodies of work within OYF that focus on youth employment and that build inclusive economies that expand opportunities for youth and young adults. This includes ongoing implementation and further development of the Pathways to Careers effort, and supporting new career pathways efforts in New Orleans. Both of these projects require a knowledge of how the different actors in the youth employment system – including local governments/WIBs, employers, and youth employment services CBOs — operate and articulate together. The SPM’s work will be to connect these entities together to promote more, and better, career opportunities for youth.

Senior Program Manager – Data, Equity and Impact

The SPM (Data, Equity and Impact) will lead a new FCS OYF five year initiative focused on building the capacity of all OYF network members around improved collection and use of data to improve equity and impact. Building on an existing pilot, called Equity Counts, this work includes a special project focused on a small number of OYF communities where we will provide intensive multi-year support to build and deepen capacity for data use. The SPM will coordinate OYF members, consultants and national partners to maximize impact of this initiative, and will need to have the ability to both understand and analyze data, provide supportive coaching and TA, and manage a team of external experts and consultants.
